OUTCOME: Angela Davis and Bill Milliken Jr. were elected to the Washtenaw Community College board of trustees. With 65.87% turnout, Davis and Milliken received 15.21% and 15.36% of votes, respectively. For more results, check the Washtenaw County elections site.
Angela Davis is the owner of Davis Jewelry Collections and an employee at TJ Maxx in Ann Arbor. This is her first bid for public office. She is the daughter of Diana McKnight-Morton, a current member of the WCC board of trustees.
She previously worked as a human resources coordinator for Kindred Healthcare, a long-term acute care hospital in Baytown, Texas. She also served on the board of the Fayetteville Animal Rescue Shelter in Fayetteville, West Virginia.
Davis lives in Ann Arbor and is a graduate of Pioneer High School. She earned degrees from Concordia University and Mountain State University in Beckely, West Virginia.
