OUTCOME: Angela Davis and Bill Milliken Jr. were elected to the Washtenaw Community College board of trustees. With 65.87% turnout, Davis and Milliken received 15.21% and 15.36% of votes, respectively. For more results, check the Washtenaw County elections site.

Bill Milliken Jr. is a real estate developer and owner of Milliken Realty Company, a commercial brokerage and consulting firm. This is his first bid for elected office.

Milliken is a board member of the Washtenaw Community College Foundation, the nonprofit fundraising arm for WCC. He is a board member of New Detroit, a coalition focused on eliminating racial disparities in the Detroit region. He is a director of the 1.2 million-member National Association of Realtors and is a Realtor Regional Vice President. Previously he has served as president of the Commercial Board of REALTORS and the Michigan Association of REALTORS, was a director of Republic Bancorp, was board chair of the Ann Arbor Chamber of Commerce, and was on the board of Ann Arbor SPARK, an economic development agency. 

Milliken, the son of former Republican governor William G. Milliken, lives in Ann Arbor.
