Colleen Sherman has served as director of corporate and foundation relations for the University of Michigan Health System since 2013 and has been with the UMHS development office since 2009, serving previously as development director for the Taubman Institute. This is her first run for elected office. She is campaigning on a slate with Victoria Green, Linh Song and Jamie Vander Broek.

Prior to working at UMHS, Sherman was director of board and government relations for Detroit Public Television. She previously served as director of marketing for The Ark, a nonprofit music venue in downtown Ann Arbor, and was marketing director for the Ann Arbor Summer Festival.

Sherman holds a bachelor’s degree in English and communications from Michigan State University. She has a school-age son and lives on Ann Arbor’s west side.
