State House District 52
Eric Borregard is a visual artist and TV producer who owns EB Graphics (formerly EB Graphics/Artech). He has run for several public offices in the past, either as a Democrat or Green Party candidate.
In 2014, Borregard ran for a seat on the Washtenaw Community College board of trustees, a nonpartisan position. He came in eighth in a field of eight candidates. In 2012 he ran unsuccessfully for a seat on the University of Michigan board of regents as a Green Party candidate in a statewide race. In 2010 he ran as a Democrat for the District 1 seat on the Washtenaw County board of commissioners, but was defeated by Adam Zemke in the Democratic primary. In 2008 he was unopposed in the Democratic primary for District 1, but was defeated in the November general election against Republican Mark Ouimet. He also ran for U.S. Senate in 2002 as a Green Party candidate.
He has served on the Southwest Oakland County cable commission promotions committee.
Borregard received an associate's degree from Oakland Community College in 1985 and a bachelor's degree in broadcasting and cinema arts from Madonna University in 2015. He lives in Webster Township.
