Washtenaw Community College Trustee
OUTCOME: Angela Davis and Bill Milliken Jr. were elected to the Washtenaw Community College board of trustees. With 65.87% turnout, Davis and Milliken received 15.21% and 15.36% of votes, respectively. For more results, check the Washtenaw County elections site.
Holly Heaviland is executive director of community & school partnerships for the Washtenaw Intermediate School District (WISD). This is her first bid for elected office.
From 2002 to 2015, Heaviland served as the WISD’s director of achievement initiatives. Before that she was a consultant with the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators, and worked as a psychologist with Chelsea Public Schools.
Heaviland earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Central Michigan University in 1992. She has a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from Miami University, and a doctor of education degree (Ed.D.) from Michigan State University. She is a member of the Junior League of Ann Arbor. Heaviland and her husband, Craig Hausman, live on Ann Arbor’s west side.
