OUTCOME: Victoria GreenColleen ShermanLinh Song and Jamie Vander Broek were elected to the Ann Arbor District Library board. Click here for details of that outcome. For more results, check the Washtenaw County elections site.

LuAnne Bullington is a community volunteer, retired teacher and former IT professional. This is her first bid for a seat on the library board, but she has previously run for other elected positions.

She was a candidate for Ann Arbor city council in 2007 and 2009, but was defeated in those Ward 3 races during the Democratic primary. She ran for the Washtenaw County board of commissioners in 2010, also losing in the Democratic primary for District 11. Her volunteer work includes serving as president of the Ann Arbor Host Lions Club board and the chairperson of the Ann Arbor Counsel of Lions Clubs. She previously was on the Ann Arbor taxicab board, an appointed position, as well as on the local advisory committee for the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority and the Regional Transportation Authority’s Citizen’s Advisory Committee. She was a spokesperson for Better Transit Now, a group that opposed the 2014 ballot proposal for an expanded public transit tax. (That tax was passed by voters.)

Bullington has a bachelor's degree in education and special education from Eastern Michigan University, and a bachelor's in computer science. She has two grown children and lives on the south side of Ann Arbor.
